IT'S ALL ABOUT PRIORITIES

As you can see, little Nicks is not looking her usual effervescent self at the launch of her MAC DivaViva Glam collection.

It was reported that she was 'horrified by a broken nail' and initially 'refused to leave the car'.

Luckily some of her 'people' know how to work superglue. Devastation diverted.

Hoorah.

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

Are we sure this wasn't NYN(ail)FW??

Designers have EMBRACED the nail artist, and it feels good....

Sooo many nails on show to complete the styling of each new collection, including Ruffian, The Blonds, Behnaz Sarafpour, Kate Spade, M. Patmos, Rebecca Taylor, Lauren Moffatt, Daniella Kallmeyer, Rebecca Minkoff, Phillip Lim, Rachel Antonoff, Pamela Love, Nicole Miller, Alice+Olivia, Christian Cota and Betsey Johnson (but to name a few...)

Amazing, intricate, incredibly hard, brilliant work.

Congratulations to all those techies doing it backstage. Bronz'd salutes you!

INSERT LFW!

With the fashion spotlight firmly trained on New York for the last couple of weeks, this little beauty has slipped onto the radar in London Town.

Henry Holland and Sophy Robson (who else??) for House of Holland created a houndstooth extravaganza.

David Jones, eat your heart out.

So dope.

THE SHOWS BEGIN (CONT.)

The incredible Pamela Love showed this week. (Some of her beautiful work above...)

Essie assisted with the nails.

The brief was 'dirt effect'.

Could it be the nails were as tough, yet magnificently gorgeous as the accessories??

MAC'IN AT NYFW

While we're on the subject of MAC, the power cosmetics house has just announced it's involvement in New York Fashion Week.

After recruiting a killer nail team, they will be doing full concepts for a number of major designers, and have also announced that a number of new nail products will be at the forefront of their priorities developing collections from here on out.

Nice to see you gotten on board with the rest of the world, M-to-the-A-to-the-C....

...I do love the above 3. Click below for full details.

IRIS IS THE MAC

Iris Apfel for MAC has arrived!!

She was in my favourite movie of 2011, 'Bill Cunningham New York'.

Let her tell you herself about taste, style, her style, her inspirations and her path...

A champion for individualism in expression of fashion and lifestyle, Iris is truly iconic.

Mrs Apfel, we salute you!

HOW UNFORTUNATE

You would expect this nonsense from another particular 'celebrity'.....

The most distressing part of this news cycle is that somehow Christina Aguilera's 'tan run' has taken precedent over the fact that someone has actually passed away. (The magnificent Etta James, for the late-comers....)

I'm upset that I'm perpetuating this 'newsworthy-ness' by posting this picture, and also because poor pet does not look pretty at all - which incidentally has absolutely nothing to do with the  tan dripping down her leg.

Eeekk...

So, what is the moral of this cautionary tale?

Take the following advice to heart and NEVER question it:

NO, you CANNOT (can you HEAR me??) have a spray tan the day of your wedding, birthday, husband/boyfriend/partner's birthday, child's christening, award night, anniversary, or let's say, performance at a funeral (sheesh....).

Have some respect for the process (and yourself) and organise your isht for at least 24 hours before your big event. Please.

Thank you.

ROCK OUT

So, I guess what I was trying to explain (in the most muddled, long-winded way) a few posts ago was... the difference(s) between nails wraps and nail polish strips - all seemingly spawned from Minx Nail armour inspiration.

The above are nail wraps (decals that you peel off to remove, not unlike Minx Nails) by Nail Rock.

Designs are super cool inspired by fashion designer, Meadham Kirchhoff.

Nail Rock is another D.I.Y. product and not currently available in Australia. And searching CVS's website, I couldn't come up with any results, so if you love the look of these cuties, hit up your connect in the U.S. and get 'em to race down to their local and grab you a couple of packets.
