This just in from the wall street journal, the new york times, and bloomberg news...
O.P.I. could be up for sale for close to a billion dollars.
(yep... 10 (T.E.N.....) figures).
I'm sure we all feel as though we've helped contribute to that asking price in some way - 20 little dollars at a time...
Wow - Rumples really is wiggin'...
(...could go on and on pun-tastically, but I shall refrain...)
Watch this space.
Have been waiting on this one for a minute and I'm assuming it's the palest of pale blues used throughout the Cruise campaign featuring Georgia May Jagger earlier in June this year.
Me like alot.
(....yes, yes, yes... I know. I'm a hypocrite...)
Hit up compilationofcool.com for the rest of the campaign images....

Seems as if Dawn Lynch-Goodwin (co-creator of Minx Nails) 's dream of nails being elevated in the fashion world and nail technicians being a crucial part of the styling team is becoming more and more prevalent every single day.
Marc Jacobs is the latest in a growing band of designers going hard to bring nails/polishes into their current marketing strategies.
If you're lucky enough to be in the area of Selfridges (U.K.) and you're feeling any of Jacob's MARC by MARC JACOBS A/W collection, feel free to take advantage of some goodies that come complimentary with purchase, including manicures at the Marc Jacobs pop-up nail bar, bottles of signature polish and MJ-designed nail decals.
You fancy, huh?

O.P.I. are officially smashing the celebrity collaboration market with Katy Perry and Serena Williams just joining a long line of pop culture-inspired collections (Justin Beiber, Gossip Girl, Minx for Sephora, 'Burlesque', 'Shrek' and 'Alice In Wonderland' movies...) from the monster nail polish company.
Images of Katy Perry's line have been released (above), but speculation has been rife (or maybe just misconstrued...) as to who of the 2 superstars will actually claim the 'black shatter' topcoat to round out their collection.
(You may remember a post from 6 months ago about a little Aussie company called BYS that released the black shatter polish first... (respect!)) archive post - 'it's crack'
Serena's line is reportedly titled 'Grand Slam', and could coincide with her official certification as a professional nail technician. She is currently completing her 600 hours (...!?!...) of work experience necessary in the U.S. to receive her qualifications.
...Who knew painting, filing and buffing was the new 'it' career.....
To commemorate the 1 year anniversary of this delightful outlet for my 'creative' 'expression'... let me go ahead and post a picture of the sizzling Jennifer Hawkins for Lovable lingerie.
What colour do I love??? ......
Bronze, that's what.

I do not care what ANYONE says (including high-end fash mag editors...), I AM. NOT. feeling this.
According to the people who say so, this is what it is right. this. second...... (nope.)
Sure, I can get with the nonchalant, elegantly dishevelled, poor-time-management vibe that may have brought this idea into existence.... BUT.
Listen to me.
....If you have time to sit and carefully - artfully, even - blob and splish and THEN topcoat your 'art', you have time to get that skin pushed back, trimmed and hydrated as well.
Please everyone - exercise some serious discretion, discernment and intellect BEFORE jumping on this one...

THIS is more like it...
Kimmie Kyees is at it again, showing us exactly what's good, with the lovely Katy Perry repping her divine work.
I'm starting to feel that my loyalties may be tugging slightly away from Soph Rob... but hey, there's room for me to stan a couple at once, right??
Read up on it all over here... alllacqueredup.com
Finally fed up with those Jersey Shore guid's hogging her tanning shine, Lundz is back in the news for (what else, but....) being accused of pulling a Winona with 'secret tan formulas' for her phonetically-apt mates over at Sevin Nyne.
It's just hit the newsfeeds that Crimsey was (appropriately) served the lawsuit earlier this year WHILE she was already doing her bid for previously violating her parole terms.
Who could forget her charming 'subliminal' manicure messages for the judicial system at large? AND, who said she doesn't put in work? I personally, am deeply impressed by her bid-doing/lawsuit-receiving multi-tasking prowess - that takes preparation and commitment...

Heidi Klum and Whitney Port are both getting it with the mid/light-toned grey.
This is what I picked up yesterday...
I'm calling this one, 'CEMENT'.
Let me know when everyone else catches on....

We're jumping on this train now....
Nail polish pimping has officially been taken to most gratuitous level with this latest abuse of marketing and trend-piggybacking, with Justin Beiber (yes, you read correctly...) collaborating with O.P.I.'s 'Nicole' line, to bring out his own range of nail polishes (...that just does not sound even remotely right.....).
You better believe someone's getting rich off of this one.

Marian Newman repped for Minx, customising these ones for Alexander McQueen's 2011 S/S ready to wear.
Alexander McQueen was one of the first major designers to bring Minx Nails in as part of the styling team, utilising Silver Lightning to finish off the futuristic feel of his S/S '10 collection. mcqueen-hearts-minx
Minx were mimicking some of the fabric swatches for this one.... nice work.

Chanel is setting it up for Christmas already, taking it all the way back to where the hysteria first began. 2 words.... Rouge Noir.
This little trio is a limited-edition re-issue, making it a no-brainer for all the bewildered ones who just don't know what the get that 'discerning' 'lady' who has 'everything'.
....I think I'm feeling the beauty case moreso than the actual polishes - but that may not surprise some who know me.
Get it, if that's your lane.

Bronz'd got down with Lorna Jane for their latest campaign with the incredible Kate Dillewaard.
But wait.... how (eff-ing) good does Kate make my work look?!?
A thousand thank you's tied in silk ribbon to Libby at Lorna Jane.
What a girl....
Not even overstating things when I say the first time I saw the photo campaign for Tom Ford's White Patchouli fragrance, I lost my breathe and the gift of speech momentarily (it did not help matters at all either that I'm looking at Erykah Badu....).
Every aspect of the styling was unbelievably onpoint - including the nailwork.
Fast-forward a few years and I become familiar with the phenomenon of Sophy Robson. It only made complete sense that it was her skill, eye, talent and handiwork that graced that image.
Sooooo - WHO ELSE would Tom turn to when looking to collab on a polish???
This is her letting us all peep the first sliver of the still-to-be-realised Tom Ford Black Orchid polish.
CANNOT. WAIT. for the official photoshoot for this one....
